Seven Tips to a Successful Fundraiser in Direct Sales

Fundraising in direct sales is a wonderful way to locate new customers. You are having sub-sellers doing the selling for you. Those who might not have ordered from you directly will order now, knowing the funds will benefit the organization/group involved.

I’d like to share seven tips for creating a successful fundraiser:

1. Plan ahead – Make sure you have plenty of catalogs, samples, sales tax charts and any other supplies you believe the fundraiser participants will need. You want to be prepared whether there are 5 participants or 25 participants.

2. Create a marketing packet – Marketing is key whenever you are making a sale. In this case you are selling the idea or concept of raising funds with you and your direct sales company. If your company already has letters and forms in place, use those and just personalize them with your name, phone number and web address. If your company does not have letters and forms available, ask your upline if they have templates you can personalize and customize.

3. Choose a specific time period – I recommend no longer than two weeks for a fundraiser. This is plenty of time to show the catalog, collect the orders and payment and then submit the order to whoever is collecting the final orders. Be very clear when the deadline is for submitting the orders.

4. Contact the local newspaper – This is a great reason for a press release. Let the community know that the organization is involved in a fundraiser and let the community know how they can participate and order products.

5. Payment options – Be very clear what the payment options are. Will you take personal checks? Do you want all checks made payable to the organization and then the organization will pay you? Can you accept credit cards? Lay out the rules up front so that everyone is clear on payment options.

6. Offer full support – Every organization has different needs. Let the organization know that you are there to help and support them. I’ve done presentations at board meetings. I’ve prepared sales flyers. I’ve created order forms. I’m willing to offer any and all support the organization needs.

7. Follow up – After the fundraiser is complete, follow up. Let the organization know you care. Were there any problems? Were there any additional orders you can place for them? Can you contact them again next year for another fundraiser?

With accelerating digital technology, retail shop owners are now starting digitalizing their shops. All shops are now interested in Point of Sale (POS) systems, a good POS system helps to improve the daily business operations and also help them to contactless experience. This includes reducing customer waiting time, faster scanning of products, accept different payment methods, real time reports etc. Previously, customer need to wait for receipts after payment, nowadays receipts can be delivered to the customer via email or SMS with the help of the POS. No one likes standing in a long queue for billing during this pandemic time. For overcoming this issue, you can use a point of sale system in retail shops. Internet Network Marketers Need a Target Market – Do You Have One?

If you are not effective in speaking to the right group, or attracting a Target Market, then you are missing an important part of Internet Network Marketing success: the leads. Not just any old leads, mind you, but the type of quality leads that will stick around long enough to identify with you, communicate with you, learn from you…..and think enough of you to buy from you.

That’s what this is all about: speaking to the right Target Market for you. In order to succeed long term in Internet Network Marketing you need to choose a Target Market that you can relate to, so that when you write effectively they will be able to relate to you.

How do you choose a Target Market? Choose a Target Market that relates to your Network Marketing business and/or your interests. Naturally, it will be helpful if you choose a market you have experience in. You also have to think ahead by choosing a Target Market that you will want to stick with over time. Once you have attracted a large following in the form of Network Marketing leads, you don’t want to dump them for more interesting markets. It’s not like decorating! Take a lot of time to really think this out.

Be Specific! Remember The Secret and the Law Of Attraction? Choosing your Target Market is the same thing. You’ll have to be specific in who you want to attract in order to nail this. Think about the details on paper…describe them…their age…what are their concerns, problems and issues? Are they in Network Marketing? Leads that are looking for a Network Marketing business opportunity? Don’t forget to think about the positive aspects of your Target Market: their dreams and goals, and what they like and are attracted to.

Take all of your “specifics” regarding your target market and list them as subjects. This list of subjects will become your master list of ideas to create content from. If you were specific, this list of subjects will speak directly to the Target Market you chose and created for yourself so you could speak directly to them. This Target Market is your future source of Network Marketing leads.

That is the first step of creating a Target Market that you can truly be focused on, and produce the results you want: Network Marketing leads. Learning to maintain that focus throughout all of the content you produce will pay off by attracting exactly those people to you and your business. Now you can begin to understand, as an Internet Network Marketer, why you might not want to switch target markets mid-stream. It would be the same as inviting your guests, only to leave before they arrived!

Speaking directly, in the form of Internet content, to your Target Market is a skill that can be easily trained. Without Internet Marketing training you run the risk of never fully attracting the Network Marketing leads you are writing to attract in the first place.
